1.Modem WAN port and LAN port should be checked to make sure that the connections of the cables are done properly.
2. After you turn on your modem, check that the lights on top of your modem are not fully lit.
3. After connecting the cables, turn on your computer, then check that the IP is configured correctly. To do this, first, click on the ‘Start’ menu and then on the ‘Run’ menu. Type ‘CMD,’ press ‘OK,’ then type ‘ipconfig’ in the command interface, 192.168.1.x for the local connection (may be between 2 and 254), 192.168.0.1 for the default gateway, the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0. If there is such information on the result screen, it means no problem.
4. If we do not have the above, you need to check and configure your computer’s IP. Steps: Right-click Network Settings, select Properties, locate the ‘TCP / IP’ line, double-click to change your IP, keep DNS ‘get it automatically.’ (If your system is VISTA or WIN7, select ‘IPV4’)
5. If your computer fails to connect to the Internet, follow the steps below to restore the modem to factory settings.
6. If you have done the modem reset and it still does not work, try these steps: Press ‘start-run-cmd’ and type ‘ping 127.0.0.1’ to determine if your network card is working properly. If there is nothing wrong with your network card, change your modem, but it’s better to try it with a different computer to check again that your modem is working properly.
